“Minshar Le’omanot“ (art platform) is a visual arts school and an active, open cultural center in the heart of Tel Aviv. The school’s goals include the study and distribution of film, animation, design, photography, visual arts and writing.
“Minshar” encourages the search and investigation of new languages, and collaboration between the different art forms, to acheive a mutual creation which strives towards social involvement that is public, political, and individual. These principals are manifested in an advanced curriculum which combines workshops in technological equipment, courses in research and development of various fields, and studies of art history.
The school teaches interdisciplinary courses, special workshops, master classes, and allows collaboration among its departments. The school’s first floor includes an active gallery for contemporary art, both cutting edge and young, as well as a screening hall for feature, documentary and experimental films, a library, and a coffee-shop. The place holds symposiums, talks about exhibitions, lectures and cultural, social, and public events.
