What is Israeli Culture?
Anything that is original and consists of Israeli “materials”. Original creation that comes out of Israel.
Israeli artist you admire?
Ehud Banai- because he doesn’t miss. Highly original, and incredible performer, and his creativity and production has been one of a kind since its very conception.
International artist that impacted your work?
Woody Allen- because he was an amazing stand- up comedian in his younger years. He is Jewish and very connected to comedy… a type of outsider.
What is Israeli about your art?
My humor is divided in two- the Israeli side, my childhood in Israel, and the situation here. The latter is more global, a genre that can appeal to any audience.
Have you performed internationally?
Yes, in Europe, Turkey, Toronto, Miami, New York, Las Vegas, and L.A.
Differences between Israeli audience and international audience?
Funny is funny. The only difference is- why do they take me to eat Hummus after my performances outside of Israel?!
What would you tell the world about your home in Israel?
That it’s the best place in the world.
